The trade newsletter
One email, sent when there is something a beauty or wellness brand owner would want to know: a change in the rules that govern claims, an update to guidance from a regulator, a shift in packaging or labelling obligations, or a new piece of work from this paper worth reading.
It is not sent on a schedule and it is not filled to meet one. Some months there are two. Some months there are none.
What is in an issue
- What changed. Regulatory and guidance changes affecting the category, in plain language, with the source linked.
- One thing worth doing. A single practical action, with the reasoning.
- From the paper. New or substantially updated articles.
- One sponsored slot, labelled, positioned outside the editorial section.
Subscribe
One email when something changes that affects a pricing, packaging or claims decision. No schedule, no third party advertising, no sharing of your address.
Sponsorship, and the rate card
Each issue carries a single sponsored slot. It is clearly labelled as a sponsored slot, it sits outside the editorial section, and it never appears within an article or a recommendation.
Sponsored slot, one issue
The single labelled slot in one issue. Up to 60 words plus one link, written by you and checked against our claims rules. Positioned outside the editorial section. Send volume reported afterwards.
Three issues, booked together
The same slot across the next three issues sent. Copy may change between issues. Payable in advance, refundable pro rata if we do not send.
Copy review only
We check proposed sponsor copy against our claims rules and tell you what would need to change, without a booking. Deducted from a subsequent booking.
Rates are quoted excluding VAT where applicable. Slots are booked by issue and are sold in the order enquiries are received. Where an issue is not sent in a given month, a booked slot moves to the next issue or is refunded, at your choice.
What sponsorship buys, and what it does not
It buys: the labelled slot in one issue, up to 60 words plus one link chosen by you, and a report of the send volume for that issue.
It does not buy: editorial coverage, a mention in an article, a directory entry, an endorsement, advance sight of the editorial content of the issue, the subscriber list, or any subscriber data. Subscriber data is never shared, sold or rented, in any circumstances.
Standards for sponsored copy
Sponsored copy is subject to the same claims rules as everything else published here. We will not run superlatives, unverifiable performance figures, comparative claims about competitors, medicinal claims about cosmetic products, or urgency messages that are not genuine.
We reserve the right to decline a sponsor whose product or copy we could not run without misleading a reader. Where that happens, the fee is returned in full.
Your data
We send the newsletter to people who have asked for it. Every email carries a one click unsubscribe and we act on it immediately. We do not share, sell or rent the list, and we do not use it for anything other than sending the newsletter.
Full detail is in the privacy notice. The obligations that apply to us are the same ones we write about in client data in a beauty business.
